The Maines family consists of Papa Ted (aka Web page designer), Mama Sherri (who writes the blogs), and their three boys (who inspire most of the blogs) James, Jonathan and Joshua.
At Turning Ranch, they believe they are preparing to offer the finest organic grass-fed beef, chicken, fish, eggs and produce for the family table. It is their goal that their animals live their entire lives on the ranch. Eventually they will be born and raised on the premises and some of them are selected to become the future mothers. This will continue the genetics from past generations. They select for ability to produce tender, flavorful meat on grass or natural organic feed alone, for their natural health, their gentle nature and their natural reproducibility ability.
